Abandoned Cart Follow-Up

Increase sales by automatically following up on incomplete orders!

Abandoned carts are an online merchant's worst night mare -- after finally getting a customer to your site, getting them interested in your products and adding to their shopping cart and getting them to begin checking out . . . the sale was lost!

There are many reasons for abandoned carts, many of which are unintentional; for example, shoppers get interrupted by the phone or children, they could have lost their internet connection, or perhaps have a sudden pang of "buyers remorse" just as they are about to commit. Worse yet, errors can happen in the checkout procedure.

Merchants who follow up on abandoned carts definitely do save sales. This add-on will virtually automate saving these lost sales. If a shopper has added something to their cart and has provided an email address (either by logging in, creating an account, or going past the billing screen in checkout), but has not completed the order at any point, an HTML formatted email will be sent to them with what they had in their cart and the option to continue shopping, ignore the reminder, or opt out of future reminders. Opting to continue shopping will restore the cart they left behind (based on the link, not a cookie).

This Add-on supports both the standard and Apparel add-on builds as well as BTO versions of ProductCart 4 or better.

Ordering:

We strive to make our mods and add-ons as simple to install as possible. Only the most cursory understanding of ASP is typically required. Any semi-experienced ASP developer should be able to install the vast majority of our mods or add-ons in less than 5-15 minutes (depending on whether a database upgrade is involved -- and that simply requires a ninute to log into the store's Control Panel and push the upgrade button).

You might also want to revert to your backups and try your installation again paying closer attention to what you are copying and pasting.

If you indeed find an issue with our code, we will of course remedy the issue free of charge, provided the issue falls under the functionality of the mod or add-on as we've described it.
