Batch Process Images

Add-on for ProductCart 3.51 & 4

Save time resizing and uploading your product images. Let this handy add-on do most all of the work for you -- in batches!

This add-on for ProductCart 3.51 & 4 enables you to batch upload hundreds of products at a time -- dynamically regenerating your general, thumbnail, and mini-thumbnail (shown on cart summary page) and update your database in one simple process.

All you have to do is name the largest version of your product image by the product SKU, then FTP them all up to a temporary repository, and then click a button to initiate the magic. Additional product views are also supported.

It also plugs into the two options ProductCart offers for uploading and managing your various sized product images:

Not only is this a big time saver, but over time you will find that enforcing a naming convention of naming product images by their SKU will save you time managing your legacy image files.

It also facilitates image file management by deleting the images files associated to a product when you delete a product from you catalog.

What's more, ProductCart simply "squishes" the "mini-thumbnail" image you can use on your cart summary page; this add-on create an actual image for that "mini-thumbnail."

Finally, the add-on also includes options to stroke your images with a black or a white border and to copyright your images with either text (servers running ASPImage) or a logo (servers running ASPJpeg).

Supported Versions

This Add-on supports both the standard and Apparel add-on builds as well as BTO versions of ProductCart 3.51 & 4. Earlier versions have not yet been tested.

We strive to make our mods and add-ons as simple to install as possible. Only the most cursory understanding of ASP is required. Any semi-experienced ASP developer should be able to install any of our mods or add-ons in less than 5-10 minutes (depending on whether a database upgrade is involved -- and that simply requires a couple of minutes to log into the store's Control Panel and push the upgrade button).

You might also want to revert to your backups and try your installation again paying closer attention to what you are copying and pasting.

If you indeed find an issue that is with our code, we will of course remedy the issue free of charge, provided the issue falls under the functionality of the mod or add-on as we've described it.
